Texas Parent PAC releases list of endorsements

Texas Parent PAC is a respected political action committee for parents, grandparents, parents-to-be, and anyone who supports high-quality public education. It was founded in 2005 by five “PTA moms” who were frustrated with the Texas Legislature, concerned about attempts to implement a private school voucher program in Texas, and believed the state needed more state representatives and senators who would stand up for kids and public schools.
A diverse and sizable group of parent volunteers from across the state are involved in researching and interviewing candidates in each election cycle. Final decisions on endorsements are made by the Parent PAC Board of Directors. The list of Parent PAC’s endorsements can be found below. The full list is also available here, on Parent PAC’s website.

With early voting starting in less than two weeks, this is a good time to remember that while endorsements and mailers will be pouring into your mailbox, it’s important to know who to trust—and who not to trust. Luckily, Teach the Vote did the work for you and has a guide to endorsements we published earlier this year.
Early voting begins Oct. 21 and runs through Nov. 1. Election day is Nov. 5. Make a plan to vote, bring your friends and colleagues, and get out and vote pro-public education.
