Date Posted: 8/11/2025 | Author: Tricia Cave
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is currently developing the Texas Test of Educator Proficiency (T-TEP), and the agency is looking for interested stakeholders to serve on the T-TEP stakeholder advisory committee.
T-TEP will be a Texas-specific teacher performance assessment, similar to edTPA, and is currently being developed by a team of eight faculty/staff members from educator preparation programs (EPPs) in conjunction with TEA’s current testing vendor. The exam will be portfolio-based and evaluate teacher candidate knowledge related to pedagogy, planning and instruction, assessment, professionalism, and more.
If you have a background in and experience with educator preparation, you are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Sept. 15, with group members being notified of selection on Oct. 3. If selected, meetings will be held on Nov. 12, 2025, and May 20, 2026.
